He set the best first sector of anyone but only manages fifth in the end.

Another lap deletion. Shocking.
Out in Q2: Russell, Ocon, Bottas, Piastri and Perez.
It's second for Perez; only 11th for Russell.
Russell is the latest driver to have a time deleted.
In the bottom five: Stroll, Piastri, Bottas, Russell, Perez.
Hamilton is just 0.2s off Verstappen at the front.
Russell continues to struggle - he's only 10th.
After his earlier lap was deleted, Verstappen rises to the top of the order with a 1m04.951s.
Norris, Gasly, Hulkenberg, Alonso, Ocon, Sainz, Hamilton, Piastri, Leclerc and Bottas.
Perez's time is now deleted for track limits.
Another deleted lap time for Verstappen.

There might be some lap deletions.
But as is stands, out in Q1: Tsunoda, Zhou, Sargeant, Magnussen and de Vries.
Albon up to eighth; Hulkenberg into 11th.
A lot of improvements are coming.
